This is not a sponsored post so you can be certain that anything I say here is, in fact, my opinion. 7 cups is a website where you can talk free and anonymously with a trained listener. If you feel like you need to vent and/or you're feeling alone and sad, 7 cups can be a way to distract yourself speaking with someone and maybe even feel better after. Keep in mind that if you're looking someone to give you a magic cure or to tell you what to do about the thing you're worried about, this is not the right place to go. Listeners, are just it, listeners. They listen and care about whatever you're strugling with and they do the best to understand you and guide you through your options, but the answer should be and I'm sure deep down it is, within you.
In 7 Cups you can also find certified therapist and even try for free you first therapy session. After it you have to pay a little amount to keep in touch with your therapist but at least you can first see if therapy is the way to go. Nice, isn't it? There are many different options for support: individual listeners (called 1-1 chats), group chat rooms, forums, and a feed feature that allows everyone to share easily.
Listeners aren't paid, they are volunteers who spend their free time trying to help someone so expect them to be talking to you because they actually really care about your well being. I've been a listener for a couple years and sometimes I even get sad listening to your stories and I really try my best to make you feel better somehow. Think of listeners as a friend, and that's what you'll get. I'm sure you'll connect with some listeners more than others but that's just normal. Keep trying to find the one who you think will help you the most and don't ever give up on talking with someone if you need help. You don't ever have to feel like you're alone because, in fact, you're not. Feel free to come chat with us on 7cups.com and I hope you find your perfect listener (or if you want, you can become a listener and help others in need, we always like when people are willing to help!).

…than what happens to your mind after going through the education system. I mean, aside from the cliche about “molding young minds” the education systems set limitations on an infinite amount of knowledge, on an infinite amount of subjects. In short, education systems rob us of the human ambition.
Lets think about this here for a second… Do you know, down to the part names and connections, how the hell you are reading this on a punch of plastic pieces, with lights on the inside (computer)? Someone knows, multiple people know, and they learned it all themselves. Why don’t I know that? Why is xy over 35.7 times 10 to the eight power more important than how to budget or about the composition behind the different types of finches on the Galapagos Islands?
There are so many mind blowing things out there in the world today, and were all stuck here learning how to be obedient, following rules like raise your hand when you want to talk and wait for me to call on you. Well, if I’ve got something to say, you can bet I’ll write it on a poster and show it, with or without your recognition.
Sit down, for hours at a time, take in all of this information that you’ll barely ever touch, fill your brain up with the most simple and monotonous things that can be learned and obey everything I say. I will show you information you won’t care about, and I won’t ask you what you want to know. Just make sure you know this and can replicate it so you can say you’re “Smart.”
Fuuuuccckkk that. Go outside in the middle of the night and look at the stars in the sky, and the planets and moons. Go learn about that! We need to know more about topics like that! Screw this, healthcare for all, you need to be a politician to do anything bullshit.
Do not rely on the education system to be your guide for learning. Find something you love and dive right in to each and every way that sport, animal, problem or moon and figure out how it all works. Be a free thinker, with no guidelines, no requirements of knowledge, and be completely immersed in a field that you make and can call home.

You're probably here expecting me to be the most positive person you've ever encountered in your life, right? It couldn't be more wrong. I've struggled with negativity as long as I remember and this year has been one of the hardest for me so I know how hard it is to try and be positive. So even though this post is mostly to help you find the positive side of life, this is also a self reminder. Even though I'm a negative person, all I want is to be happy and the best way to start is to focus more on the good than on the bad. This is why I want this to be my first post, this is a big fight for me and I want to share some ways that help me and hope it will help at least some of you.
